How to choose violin sizes
Violins are available in 8 different sizes: 4/4 (also called full size), 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16 and 1/32. Size 4/4 is the biggest and size 1/32 is the smallest. All adults, regardless of their size, use the size 4/4 violin.
To measure what size violin best suits you, you need to know the length between your neck and the middle of your left-hand palm (when your hand is fully extended and raised perpendicular to your body, just like holding a violin). Most of the teachers prefer students to use the length from the neck to the wrist for measurement instead of the neck to mid-palm approach. The violin size determined by the neck/wrist approach would be the size that is more comfortable for students to hold. The violin size determined by the neck/mid-palm approach would be the biggest size students should use.
If you have a teacher, you should ask for your teacher's recommendation. If you don't have a teacher, we would recommend using the neck/wrist approach for students not using full size; for students who are deciding whether to used size 3/4 or size 4/4, use the neck/mid-palm approach. This is because it is always better those students feeling comfortable holding and playing the violin. However, while deciding between size 3/4 and size 4/4, if neck/mid-palm approach allows for size 4/4, then buying a size 4/4 is more economical since you don't have to buy another bigger size violin later. This is completely based on economical consideration. You should still decide what best suits your need.

Free shipping is available for shipments to the US contiguous 48 States via UPS Ground ONLY. Dispatch time is 1-2 business days except back-to-school or holiday seasons. UPS Ground shipments usually arrive within 2-6 business days; however, please allow up to 14 business days for delivery especially during the peak seasons and severe weather conditions.
Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico can only be shipped via air services which require additional shipping charges. Please call 1-877-262-8880 for a rate quote prior to completing a purchase.
APO/FPO, Guam, US Virgin Island shipments can only be shipped via USPS (approx. 7-18 business days) which requires an additional surcharge depending on the item. Please call 1-877-262-8880 for a rate quote.
International Shipping:
We ship worldwide to most international destinations except for oversized items (i.e. cello, Sr. drum set and upright bass). Additional shipping charges apply. Return for Refund: If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return your items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the item price (shipping charges are not refundable). Returned item must be in the original packaging and condition showing no signs of wear or abuse; otherwise the return will either be refused or a 20% restocking fee will be assessed. Please contact us to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#). Any items returned without a RMA# on outside of the shipping box may be refused. We recommend that you use a reliable carrier such as FedEx, UPS or DHL and insure your package when returning your item. KK Music Store is not responsible for shipping damages for returns.
Exchanges: If you have discovered that you purchased an incorrect merchandise, color, size, or simply want to upgrade to another item, please contact us to obtain an Exchange Merchandise Authorization Number (EMA#). You may return the package in its original packaging and condition for exchange within 15 days of receipt. Buyers will be responsible for the return shipping cost as well as the regular shipping and handling cost. Free shipping does not apply to exchange merchandise.
Damage Upon Arrival / Discrepancies: If you have received a damaged or discrepancy package upon arrival, please notify us within 24 hours of receipt and retain all original packaging (including the original corrugated box). We will request digital pictures of the damage/discrepancy item for reference, and arrange FREE replacement after we receive the pictures.

A. We carefully pack each and every item with sufficient packing material to ensure its safe arrival. We know how it feels to see your package arrive in pieces. We hate to see that happen as much as you do. But things do happen, and when it does, there’s no need to panic. Call us! We will do whatever necessary to help you take care of it, and a replacement package will be on its way in no time. Just like that!
It is best to refuse an obviously damaged package. If you do receive a package with hidden damages that could not be discovered until you opened the package, call us right away.
