This is Vintage S. Kirk & Son Sterling Silver Flat Handle Butter Spreaders in the "Repousse" pattern. These are the pattern on both sides version. I recently acquired these at a local estate auction. Each is clearly marked Sterling, and has the S Kirk & Son company name on the back of the blade. They are in good condition with only minor surface marks from use and no monogram or engraving (or removal.) The pattern is crisp, clear and strong. Each one measures 5 3/8 inches in length. If this is your pattern, or if you know someone with this pattern, wouldn't this make a wonderful addition??
