I'm offering a very nice Yellow ware advertising bank for auction. It is a giveaway piece for the Acorn Stove Co. The company sold stoves in the late 1800's into the 20th century. The bank states "ACORN STOVE'S WILL SAVE HALF YOUR FUEL MONEY" . There is no way to get your money out so......not many lasted. The bank measures 2 and 3/4 inches in diameter and stands about 3 inches tall. It is unglazed on the bottom and has no cracks. The only mention is a 1/16 spot seen at the one edge of the coin slot. There is an unglazed dirty spot there. It is very minor and more than likely is original but I do try to mention everything. My feedback speaks well for my honesty. This would add nicely to a country stoneware display or a cast iron stove memorabilia collection. Nice Christmas gift! High bidder pays for priority shipping and insurance n the continental USA.
