Fresh from a Lebanon, Pa auction estate this lovely long strand of antique sleigh bells. The brass single slit bells are all one size and measure just over an inch wide and long. There are 30 bells on a leather harness that measures over 94" long. All the bells have a lovely patina and have no rust. The leather strap is weathered but has no breaks. The buckle is also complete and has no rust. On the leather strap just above the buckle is embossed with the number 174. The single slit bell denotes age as pre 1920 and the auctioneer guaranteed these to be early 1800's which I feel totally comfortable backing. These bells have some considerable heft to them. Now for the tone. There is just no way to accurately of completely describe the dulcet tones from this magnificent set. Rich, pure and sweet. If you are using these for your horse drawn sleigh you will hear them well before you see them and they sound like sweet music coming down from the heavens. If you decorate with them on your door or in your house you will smile each time they ring out the holiday season. A simply fabulous set offered at a low starting bid with no reserve. Have a lovely holiday and thanks so much for looking!
In the true spirit of auctions I try never to use a reserve and to start my auctions with a low starting bid to allow everyone a chance to win. I am very accurate and conservative in my descriptions and I do offer a return policy.
I use Priority Mail for most of my shipping. With the recent increases in shipping charges and the changes to the Ebay format I want to make sure that you know exactly what and how I charge. First; I almost always start all my auctions at 9.99 or less even if I have paid $100 or more for the item. It is a risk but it is more fair and fun that way. Sometimes I win, sometimes you win. Second, postal rates have increased. For the most part priority rate is now almost the same as parcel post. I almost always ship next day so that you receive your package within 3 days--I am very fast. I always pack carefully. While some of my boxes may be free I pay for others as well as bubble wrap, peanuts, tape ect. When I ship something small and charge first class mail, I'm packing in a new bubble mailer with the item inside carefully packed and wrapped several times. This is how I make my living. Based on the effort that goes into finding, cleaning, listing, packing and shipping I don't think it's unreasonable to add a small packing fee. I am always up front with my shipping fees and I offer a money back guarantee on everything I sell. Based on all of this If there's any reason why you wouldn't give me high marks in all areas of my feedback please contact me immediately. It is my goal to provide you with an excellent experience and I am also depending on you to respond in kind so I can continue to offer you unusual and scarce items at bargain basement prices. Thank you for your time.
