Here is a very nice Bradley & Hubbard hanging oil lamp. Decorative metal is gilded brass. Lamp and shade are handpainted molded milk glass. Background color is light blue at the top which fades to a light yellow. Flowers are dark and light pink roses with grean leaves. Lamp features 30 prisims measuring around 3 inches each. At the top is a cast iron loop with spring loaded pulley system to raise or lower the lamp. Iron loop is stamped B & H along with what appears to be a patent date, but I can't quite make it out.
Pulley system is a bit stiff but does work. When fully retracted lamp is 30 inches from ceiling mount to bottom of metal fram. Chains can be pulled down about 36 inches for an overal length of 66 inches.
Shade is almost 14 inches in diameter and is approx 5 5/8 inches high. No cracks or chips, but does have a minor spot or wear around 3 inches long as shown in photos.
Lamp burner was converted to electric, but someone has cut the elecric cord. Could easily be converted back to oil by simply replacing with an oil burner. Lamp is 6 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest point, and is 4 1/2 inches tall without the burner. Paint on the lamp portion appears complete. There is a 3 inch section that looks like a crack, but it does not go completely through the glass. I believe it to be a fault from manufacturing.
As far as I can tell this lamp is complete, there may at one time have been prisims on the upper ring by the smoke bell, but I am not certain. I no longer have room for this lamp so I must part with it. Because of the size of this lamp and to ensure there is no damage, I will ship the shade separately. For this reason please wait for invoice before paying.
TERMS: Buyer to pay shipping and insurance. I have described items to the best of my abilities, but please ask any and all questions before bidding as all sales are FINAL.
