This interesting 19th century medical device is labeled Dudgeon's Sphygmograph. This is an early medical tool for recording heart rate on paper. Device was attached to the wrist and detects movement of the radial artery. This example looks to be in overall excellent condition and as far as we can tell is still functioning properly. Clock work mechanism for pulling paper through is also functioning. Wrist strap is soiled. Was found in original box showing nice interior & worn exterior. Interior has original sellers label reading "Max Wocher & Son Co Surgical Instruments 19-21-23 W. Sixth Av., Cincinnati-Ohio". Reasonable reserve. View our feedback and bid with confidence. Serious bidders only, please. **Note: Buyers with 0 Feedback will need to contact us first before bidding.
