Thomas Moser (Auburn, Maine) is an icon of American furniture making, and his "Continuous Arm Chair" is his signature piece.  The primary wood is American Black Cherry, both for the seat and for the graceful, continuous arm.  The chair measures 41 inches high, 24 inches wide, and 25 inches deep and is comfortable and generous.  This chair, like all Moser products, is signed by the craftsman who made it - in this case Gayla M. Our signature piece, the Continuous Arm Chair, remains a unique, trademarked Moser design. To form the arms eleven one-tenth-inch knife-cut slices of the same tree, called a flitch, are laminated together. Then each continuous arm is painstakingly rasped, filed and sanded to a perfect smoothness.
