EDWARDIAN LADY'S HAT
from
MAMA'S COURTYARD
I purchased this lovely Edwardian straw hat at an estate sale of a family friend.
It is 14 Inches wide and the crown is oval and measures 5 by 6 inches. There
is a tuck in the brim on the back of the hat. it is at this point that the first and
largest of two beige silk bows is attached. The second bow is attached to
the side of the brim and crown. The bows are in fairly good shape but there is some
deterioration. There are flowers around the front of the crown along with
some netting. The netting is light brown and the flowers are white roses. The
leaves are rusty brown in color. They are in good condition as is the straw.
The lining of the hat is a very fine muslin. This hat is authentic and has not been
altered in any way.
