| Offered is a vintage (C. 1925) Czechoslovakian glass and metal pendant necklace. This necklace has a lovely Art Deco design and a deep cobalt blue faceted glass pendant. Opened and measured end-to-end, the necklace measures approximately 15 1/4”. It is made up of metal links, interspersed with faceted blue glass beads of varying shapes, sizes and shades of blue. ( See Photo) Hanging from the center is a large glass pendant that measures approximately 1 5/8” x 3/4” x 3/8” all measured at the widest points. The large cobalt blue glass faceted gem is prong mounted. The mount and chain appear to be brass with a white metal plating that is worn-off, overall, and some of the yellowish brass shows through. The pendant mount is very attractive with a lot of detailed design and three inset marcasites. (See Photo) The necklace closes with a spring ring. (The spring ring looks newer and is a silver color, and I believe it is a replacement.) The closure ring is marked on both sides, “ Made in Czechoslovakia”. (It is hard to make out all of the letters, particularly on one of the sides, and you need a loop to see anything clearly.) The condition is good, and the piece looks lovely, but there are signs of vintage wear. The metal chain and mount all have wear to the surface and the base brass shows through, as mentioned. It has it's own charm, but is a sign of age wear. The glass beads and pendant appear to be in very good vintage shape. The arrangement of the necklace beads is not even, so it is a possibility that the necklace length was altered. However, when worn, it lays nicely and the whole necklace looks very lovely.( It is a choker length with the pendant resting at the base of the throat.) This is a charming Art Deco Czech glass pendant necklace with a lovely design and a lot of eye appeal! The buyer pays a fixed cost of2.50 for USPS postage and handling.
