Fabulous Estate.... Find....... Selling VINTAGE PRE BAN ELEPHANT IVORY NEEDLE CASE with needles. Measures over 3 3/8" long with metal end caps, screws open in order to store needles, plus 2 other pieces that match but I have no idea what they are. Pointy one is 3", the shorter 1 3/4" has 1/2" deep channel, neither open. All in excellent antique condition. Please see my pics as part of the description, email questions & good luck! US Shipping is $3.50, Insurance is offered but Extra. IN THE OCT.31, 2008 ISSUE OF THE ANTIQUES & THE ARTS WEEKLY ON PAGE 23---ARTICLE EBAY TO BAN IVORY SALES IN JANUARY. Good Afternoon Mr. Leli, I'm not an Ivory expert, but faced with the fact Ebay was banning Ivory I had to sell before the Ban was enforced. I originally purchased these pieces as Ivory & would never wish to mislead anyone, so in order to sell my items in good conscience I had an Antique dealer come in and confirm which of my pieces were Ivory. I have to stand by his opinion. Thank you. Carol |
