up for auction is an original rich pine desk dated the 15 1871. (notice the way the date is written). THIS PIECE IS FROM AN ESTATE BACK EAST IN A LITTLE TOWN IN MASSACHUSETTS...I HAVE OWNED IT FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS. THE TOP DRAWER AS YOU CAN SEE IT CARVED WITH THE GENTLEMAN'S NAME AND DATE IT SAYS: WILLIAM LAMBERT 1871. THIS PIECE OF FOLK ART HAS ALL THE QUALITIES OF EARLY AMERICANA!! THE DESK MEASURES 20 1/2" LONG AND 15 1/4" WIDE AND 8 1/2" DEEP. THERE IS ONE DRAWER THAT OPENS WITH CUBBIES INSIDE...AND CUBBIES ALSO INSIDE MAIN DESK...IT HAS THE OLD ORIGINAL BRASS LOCK AND BEAUTIFUL DOVE TAILING ALL AROUND.. TO ASK AND GOOD LUCK!!
