This is an early or mid 1950’s Tesla Talisman Deco bakelite valve (tube) radio and is the rare Red Bakelite Bullet model. I bought this restored a few years ago and it is still working strong. It does not have the volume of a new radio but is very clear with a lovely tone. The bakelite is 100% intact with no cracks or repairs and the dial markings (SW. MW & LW) are very strong and clear with no damage. The back states the model number etc and the valve types with their position etc. I’ve been using this with a very short wire aerial and it tunes in perfect to the popular M.W. broadcasts. I don’t know the value of these but I’m listing it at a lot less than I paid a few years ago. It can be collected or I’ll ship double boxed and I’ve taken the plug off to stop it damaging the case during shipping. Payment by most means including PayPal, item shipped at cost and immediately upon receipt of cleared payment. Thanks for looking and please ask any questions. It measures approx. 32cm (12 ½”) wide x 19cm (7 ½”) high at its highest point x 16cm (6 ¼”) deep. It is set to work on domestic voltage but there’s a plug switch on the chassis to change it to 110v. On 30-Nov-08 at 15:31:49 GMT, seller added the following information:Just been on to the Parcelforce web site again and they appear to have changed the shipping costs. To the U.K. by parcelforce 48 it costs £15.00 and includes compensation, to Europe it costs £37.50 and to the U.S.A. it costs £57.50. The less expensive quotes for shipping are standard overland untracked and because of this, PayPal cannot be used to complete payment. Sorry if I've caused any confusion.
