1830 O.115 R3 Bust half, graded PCGS AU-58. ex Gehring Prouty collection, but no Prouty insert is available. I bought this great coin from another collector after the Prouty sale and did not get the insert with it. This is true gray dirt, and a very interesting example at that. It is decidedly lighter on the obverse than it is on the reverse, though I'm sure you will agree that the obverse wasn't cleaned. The coin was most likely stored in a coin cabinet reverse up for a generation or two and the reverse toned a bit more than the obverse. The surfaces, strike, luster and eye appeal are just what you'd expect from a top-flight 58. Thanks for looking, thanks for bidding and good luck!
