A Hallmarked Silver & Mother of Pearl Trowel Bookmark.
Birmingham 1922.
This lovely little hallmarked silver & m.o.p. bookmark is in the form of a masons trowel.
The silver has some bright cut decoration around the handle mount & where it joins the blade.
The m.o.p. has some attractive banding within it.
It is fully hallmarked as follows :-
Lion passant - Sterling silver.
Date letter - x - 1922
Makers mark - ALLD - Adie & Lovekin Limited.
Assay Office mark - Anchor - Birmingham.
Approximate dimensions :-
Length - 80 mm ( 3 1/8" )
Maximum width - 13 mm ( 1/2 ")
Weight - 5 g ( 1/6 oz. )
Condition :-
In excellent bright & clean condition. There is no damage to the metalwork or the mother of pearl. All the hallmarks are legible.
