Castle Gates
proudly presents this rare and unique:
Ancient Medieval-Baroque era Genuine Royal Guard Helmet/Crown from the Middle East!
This auction shall begin at $1, as we are confident collectors will appreciate the value of this unique and rare item
(evaluation $6850-$7250).
You are bidding on a beautiful and rare Genuine Royal/Ceremonial Crown; from the early Baroque period! WITH CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY!
This is one of the most ornate and interesting item we have encountered; a genuine royal crown/royal guard helmet complete with gemstones and ornate detail throughout accompanied by curled dragons upon the rear. This beautiful piece was likely worn for elite occasions or actual royal guards/ceremonial use. It is one of three we have decided to list for the holidays and pass on to others to appreciate since we had been fortunate enough to appreciate them through the years. Great lengths were taken to bring this through US customs and import it to the US. It is made of silver with a crushed royal burgundy velvet liner (which may have been restored and has still signs of use/wear upon it). No one will have such a fine piece for display!
Intaglio Ring with Gold Wash (included free) Size 8.25US/18.3mm, 10.72g; tinned silver-hollowed construction (no certificate)
Item: Silver Royal Crown/Guard Helmet
Size (modern approximate): 26.5cm high x 17cm wide, 17.5 lower opening diameter
Provenance: Middle East with certificate of authenticity
Material: 1.325kg, Silver, Turquoise and Carnelian Gemstones
Period: 17th-18th Century Medieval to Early Baroque Period Condition: Excellent considering age, risks and travel, some stones may have been replaced, some wear to liner (see photos) Partially Restored & Polished.

Refunds & Returns |
If item is not as described, we will offer a full refund of the bid amount. We will NOT refund solely if the buyer changed their mind or forgot to read something clearly listed in the auction. A single returned item/Nonpaying event can cost us as much as $56 in Non-Reimbursed fees for a single listing while eBay unfairly refunds only 20 cents. We cannot afford changed minds when it is a buyers responsibility to ask questions, clarify concerns before entering into the buyer/seller contract. We are happy to answer any questions and do everything possible to help the bidder understand the item they are receiving in order to be proactive and revent the need for returns, ending with a satisfied buyer! Our feedback reflects our willingness to represent items accurately.

Research & Sources
|
Castle Gates will not tolerate forgeries or replicas passed off as authentic. We are hobby collectors whose interests are in archaeological sites, individual explorers, shipwrecks, purchasing collections from individuals, estates, inheritances, local and worldwide auction houses, our own excavation& metal detecting excursions, museum discontinuance, governmental sales and metal detecting individuals/clubs throughout the world. We are always open to new avenues of acquiring items of archaeological interest (if any of you would be interested) and sharing with others. We research each of our antiquities for authenticity, provenance, material & likelihood of finding a particular item given the conditions of discovery. If you are unsure if an item is authentic, we would be happy to assist best we can (free of charge). Inevitably an item can even slip through the hands of world renowned auction houses; for this reason we offer a money back guarantee with no ill feelings. We remain humble in our years of formal degrees and informal education: “The more we learn, the less we know.” We are honest sellers doing our best to share our enthusiasm and love for antiquities (and other interesting items) with a spirit of honesty, respect, honour and dignity. For references; Read from our partial reference list below, or check with Bonham’s, Sotheby’s, Doyle’s New York and Christie’s worldwide auction houses; they have been very kind to us. |
