Very Rare Ancient Medieval

Solid Gold Knight's Battle Ring

Original Center Stone - Heavy 13.9 Grams

From The Mahmud Ghazni Kingdom

Circa: 971- 1030AD

This is a Very Rare Ancient Medieval era Gold Knight Battle Ring From The Mahmud Ghazni Kingdom.

The ring has 2 ring type attachments on the top and 1 in the front center. Two of these still have their metal ring attached which once held a teardrop shaped metal attached, which has been lost in time.  The center of the ring has a three stone setting, and still contains 1 of the 3 original stones which is red.  The stone appears to be in excellent condition with no cracks or chips.  This type of Knight ring was designed to wear between the first two knuckles of the finger. With the finger tip bent downwards, this exposed the gold Spear Head tip at the top of the ring, which in battle was most likely used as a weapon against the enemy. With the finger tips bent, a stab or swing of the hand, striking the enemy in the face or head with the spear tips would afflict injury, or momentarily stun the opponent. While stunned, in a single motion, the Knight could follow though with a lethal blow from his sword. It is possible Knights may have wore more than one of these rings on other fingers of the same hand when in battle. The spikes on the ring's base are worn down, but when they were longer and ended in a sharp point, they were very suitable for grasping, as well as causing damage to flesh. Considering this extremely rare Ring is over 1,000 years old, it is in magnificent condition. Gold Knight rings of this type, weight and quality are highly extremely difficult to find. This is a VERY rare jewel of a ring!

This Ring is about a 1,000 years old or more.

Much of the ring has been professionally cleaned to restore, and display it's original brilliance, beauty and detail. If the new owner so desires to remove the remaining centuries of patina, dirt and tarnish, they may use moderate amounts of silver cream and a soft damp cloth, and a damp soft bristle toothbrush to completely return the ring back to it's full gold luster and beauty!

The Ring's band has been chemically tested, and results are 100% gold positive when tested at 10k. Gold karat is under 10k (about 8 - 9k), and is solid gold throughout the ring, and not gold plated. In Medieval times they did not have the karat system when creating more solid and durable gold items which were generally a mixture of Gold, Silver and Bronze.

This Ring is 100% Guaranteed to be solid gold throughout as described, and not gold plated.

Ring is 100% Guaranteed Authentic as described, or a FULL refund will be cheerfully issued.
