Here for auction is this very elegant vintage NIPPON CAKE PLATE. It measures 10 inches wide from cutout handle to handle, and 1 1/2 inches tall. It was impossible to get a picture of the 1/4 inch gold on gold border, but if you will look at picture #2 you will see the gold Greek key design, this design is on the border at the rim. The rim is also circled with gold trim. There are 4 designs of pink and mauve Roses with mint green leaves that have a kelly green 1/8 inch frame. The frame is outlined both inside and outside with gold trim. At the handles there is a smaller pattern of the roses and gold and green frame. The framed roses are connected with the 1/2 wide gold Greek key design that is shown in it's beauty in picture #3. Then near the center is another gold circle. Lots of gold trim on this cake plate and just in time for the cakes that will be baked during the holidays. No chips or cracks but very light rub to gold at handle points. Mark is shown, JVP's #47, M-in-Wreath. I will be listing more Nippon and will combine items to save on shipping cost when it is safe to do so but I do require insurance on multi shipped items.
