Vintage (1950's) Young Christmas Girl Head Vase Planter with "Spaghetti" Scarf & Muff!
I am just beginning to list a stash of vintage Christmas items that I have accumulated at local estate sales, thrift shops & garage sale. Be sure to continue to check by for some unique holiday items! This auction is for a vintage head vase planter which I bought at a local estate sale. This unusual piece features an adorable blonde pony-tailed girl with a large poinsettia in her hair. She is bearing gifts & is sporting a white "spaghetti" scarf and muffs. The bottom of the vase is marked: 1CX2403 (the last numeral is not very clear).
This planter/vase part of this piece is 4 1/2 inches long by 2 inches wide and is 2 3/4 inches deep. The front (head portion) is 5 1/2 inches tall (at tip of poinsettia). There is a chip in the paint on the poinsettia which you can see in the pictures. There are no obvious chips or cracks. There is crazing in the glaze as is usually seen in vintage ceramic pieces.
