We pledge honest, quick, courteous personal service and communication.

SIZE 19 1/2 inches tall; dogs are 18 inches.
DESCRIPTION Tall, classic 18th century Boston example. Very desirable lemon top form with slipper feet. These are nearly identical to Schiffer et. al., plate 55A (Bowers collection); probably the same maker. Superb early craftsmanship with seamed construction. Well matched log stops. Fine quality metal has slightly reddish cast. Museum quality American brasses in the finest investment grade condition. Offered with no reserve; we'll let the fair market set the price.
CONDITION One of the log stops was repaired using a modern thread and nut. As you can see the dog irons are well worn. Do not be concerned: these irons will hold up to many more years of hard use. All in all condition is exemplary with few scratched, dents, and no sign of abuse.
Note that I was unable to unscrew the tops from the shaft so I won't be able to disassemble for shipping.
Details regarding condition are manifest in the photos. Please examine the photos carefully. I promise to respond promptly to email questions.
