This payphone is a real vintage payphone and was set up so it functions like a regular phone (no money needed to make a call). It is in excellent condition and still makes the gongs and dings when you deposit money in it. It comes complete with all the goodies: coin box w/lid, keys for both vault and upper housing and a very old actual information plate showing that local calls were 5 cents. The phone doesn't have an internal ringer, which was common for semi- public phones that were located in businesses. I have a separate electronic ringer that I use with it and will include it with the phone.
