This is a set comparable to the ones we sold not too long ago in the $5,000 to $8,500 range (for a 12pc set), and are sure to please you. Yes, the type that we keep checking prices for in the Bon Marche of Paris, and while I always turn up my nose at the 'new' ones, they are gorgeous - just not as gorgeous as the old fine ones and the prices keep going up. Last time I looked, the plates ranged from $500 to $4000 - each! Yes, that is a per plate price, remember. So not only are the older ones more spectacular and going up in value, they're selling at such bargain prices compared with the new ones. What's to decide? This set bearing the marks of William Guerin & Company and the form of the mark dates them between 1891-1932). Very good-excellent! Some slight wear to the gold rims and bands but overall superb condition! No edge chips, no cracks and no crazing. See pictures for measurements.
