Vintage Black Forest wooden figural money box house shaped NO KEY #6351

Please see further photographs below. A vintage Black Forest souvenir ware money box in the form of a little house or shed.  It has a slot in the roof for the money to be inserted and a lockable front door (unfortunately there is no key, the door is locked shut and we have been unable to either open the door or find a key to unlock it).  The box has been given a light cleaning only and would probably benefit from expert cleaning. It is structurally sound (although a little wobbly on its base) and bears an inscription on the base which is a little difficult to read (possibly somebody Donaldson, with an address and the date 21 Oct 41).

We are not experts – we just enjoy collecting things. We do try and do research on the bits and pieces we find, and try to give as much information on our items as we can..

Most of our lots are vintage or antique or otherwise “used” and reasonable wear and tear commensurate with age and use must be taken into account. Therefore all our lots are sold “as seen/found”.
