Japanese Washi Woodblock Print:
Japanese Washi is the traditional hand made paper used in Japan for hundreds of years and is made using fibers from Kozo (Mulberry) bark, Gampi, a bush found in the mountains of Japan, and Mitsumata, A bush that originated in China. The long fibers of Gampi and Mitsumata are beaten, boiled, bleached and then mixed with Kozo fibers, to give the papers its distinctive appearance. Because of its long fibers and unique process, it is said that Japanese washi can be made the thinnest, toughest, and most durable of all handmade papers.

Reproduction was made on the same hand made Japanese Washi paper used to create woodblock prints three hundred years ago. The result is a beautiful and authentic piece of Japanese art that you will not be able to find outside of Japan.
