You are bidding on an original 1950's Herman Miller Fiberglass Arm Shell Chair (no base included). This chair was designed by Charles Eames and is one of the most highly sought after chairs in Post Modern American design. This chair is original, has some minor surface wear but is in great condition for being sixty years old! The color is a light olive. The base is in bad condition, that's why I'm not selling it with the chair. If you do want it, I'll throw it in, just add $30 for shipping. Please specify if you want the base when winning auction. This is a great chair that will be collectible for years to come. This auction is open to all bidders in all countries. U.S Shipping & Handling will run about $65 and International Shipping & Handling will run $125. These rates are a bit adjustable depending on location. * International Shipping * I am not responsible for your purchase after it has left the U.S. I will purchase insurance for the item. Any questions can be directed to me. The item will ship when payment is made. I do not accept returns, you won't need to make one though. On Oct-08-08 at 17:56:05 PDT, seller added the following information:I've supplied pictures of the two blemishes I found. These are two rather smaller chips along the edge of the chair. The biggest of the two is located at the top of the chair, the second is located in one the curves of the mold. I've also added a photo of the underside of the chair. The support mounts are attached, strong and supple. Sorry for not adding these earlier. I've also looked into the color a bit, it appears an oliveish gray, some other chairs on ebay of the same color are called "greige" gray, beige... So, there you have it!
