ALL OF OUR AUCTIONS ARE PRIVATE DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING FAKE EMAILS SENT TO UNDERBIDDERS. Up for auction is this amazing Pre Columbian object that was given by noted Taos school artist Joseph Henry Sharp to his friend Hollywood actor Christian Rub and came from his estate here in Honolulu. Totally out of our area of expertise, we were told by a family member that it depicts Mayan rulers whose heads are in relief on the outside of the bowl and it was used to carry ritual offerings in sacrifices. An old piece of paper describes the piece as circa 550 to 950 A.D. and that it is made of stucco. The winning bidder will receive the full provenance on our letterhead if so desired. Measures 6 1/2" across by 4 1/8" height. As with all of our auctions this museum piece is being listed without any reserve and be sure to check out our other interesting listings including a rare Colima dog etc. Due to the fragile nature of this item it will be carefully packed and shipped with delivery confirmation by priority mail for a cost of $15.00 in the U.S. International shipping fees will depend on destination. Insurance is additional and required and will be determined after auction closes. All major credit cards accepted by fax with a signature. All sales final. Payment must be received within 7 days of auction ending. Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
