ALL OF OUR AUCTIONS ARE PRIVATE DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING FAKE EMAILS SENT TO UNDERBIDDERS. Up for your bidding pleasure is this museum quality reclining Pre Columbian Colima dog that dates to 100 B.C. to 250 A.D. according to the appraiser that examined the item for the family. From the well known and historic estate of Frank Ward Hustace Jr.- the Victoria Ward heir, this was purchased with lots of other interesting items including a wonderful lot of Mexican jewelry that we sold a couple of weeks ago on ebay. The attention to detail in this ceramic is amazing, including wonderful life like features even on the bottom. A true rarity that measures 3 1/8" greatest height and 9 1/4" in length, it was buried in shaft tombs in the western part of Mexico and after doing some research is modeled after a Techichi or Escincle- relatives of the modern day Chihuahua or Mexican hairless dog. This piece was very difficult to photograph and looks much better in person. Like all of our auctions this rarity is being listed without any reserve so good luck and be sure to check out our other unusual items including a very rare Mayan Pre Columbian stucco bowl with face reliefs. Due to the fragile nature of this item it will be carefully packed, shipped and insured by Fed Ex for a cost of $30 in the U.S. or $60 foreign. All major credit cards accepted by fax with a signature. All sales final. Payment must be received within 7 days of auction ending. Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
