In the unlikely event of any damage in transit, we cannot be held responsible as the goods are out of our care and control. We will of course help you in any way we can in your claim. Our recommended carriers are all professional and totally independent from our organization and carry full insurance.

DESCRIPTIONS
We endeavor to be accurate in our description, however, we obviously cannot detail everything in the space available, we will always say if there is any substantial restoration or damage. Sizes are always in inches to the highest and widest points. We will also note woodworm if in our opinion it has affected the structure of the item. Please do not hesitate to email with any questions you may have.
PLEASE NOTE
All our goods are antique or vintage and not new reproductions. When we mark something C1890 for instance this means "CIRCA" or "about" 1890 which is the date of manufacture in our opinion.
Please also remember that antique and vintage furniture will show wear including small dinks and bumps and often some old worm holes which are part of the charm and character of the piece and convey a sense of age and permanence in our "throw-away" society. (Many modern copies have imitation wormholes put in furniture to mirror the antique!) All our furniture comes directly from private homes, we do not restore other than clean and polish and treat in case of woodworm. This is part of the reason why we are in most cases able to sell with low reserves. Antique and Vintage furniture also represents a good investment unlike modern factory built furniture which loses most of its value within a year or two. Antique and Vintage furniture will most often hold its value and increase over the years.
