What a fantastic find! Antique 18c Chippendale Style Massive 4 Door Breakfront China Cabinet Secretary Desk Bookcase. This would be a splendid addition to any traditional dining room or office. Starting at the top we have a "Broken Arch" pediment fancifully and pierce carved resting on a very strong carved dental flat plinth top.
The four doors are unique with screened flanking doors and two decorative solid Mahogany fancy latticed center doors. This top section rests on a beautiful and tall block front base with a fantastic rope edge carving that surrounds it. Even the plinth style bottom has a beautiful carved edge.
All the six drawers and the doors have their own framed out and fancy carved moldings. The door framed moldings are oval shaped with nice floret medallions and flame Exotic Mahogany interiors. The center top drawer opens to reveal a wonderful desk that you can will find many uses for. A true masterpiece and antique of tomorrow, this piece was very well maintained and cherished.
The best and most exotic Mahogany of the day was used and the most heavy duty all solid wood construction. Was built to last and will last you forever.
