Dear Bidder,
This is an late 19th century sterling silver box with genuine shell lid with inlaid sterling silver bows. The box has London England hallmarks which I believe date to 1867. I am not sure of the maker, but I will post any helpful information I receive. The interior is some sort of resin with beige velvet lining (the lining is faded and not in great shape). There is also a crack in the tortoise shell lid as photoed. Still shows very well. Measures 4 5/8 inches wide, 2.75" deep and 2" high. Sold without reserve. Very nice Holiday Gift!
