You are bidding on an original large standing Lumibar light. It was designed by Heinz Klein and Hans-Georg Leidig and manufactured by Elmar Flototto. It is made of red plastic cast in the shape of a standing teddy bear. There is a removable metallic lid underneath the lamp so that the bulb can be changed. The original switch is placed on the cord. The original label is still present on the metallic lid underneath the lamp and reads 'Lumibar'. The bear is also marked with the original labels at the back.
The lamp is in good condition except for a few age related knocks and marks on its nose. It is in full working order. It requires one Edison screw (screwfit)bulb and is fitted with a Uk plug. As with all vintage electrical equipment, it is advisable to have it checked by a qualified electrician.
Please note: We specialise in selling vintage items. Although we strive to give as accurate a description as possible, patina and age-related wear are to be expected. However, we will always indicate any noticeable defects.
This cute (and cool) bear would be great for a kid's bedroom or sit quite happily anywhere as a subsidiary lighting. Bright, fun and brilliant piece of lighting to warm up your winter nights!!!
Reference note : '1000 lights 1960-present' Taschen Charlotte and Peter Fiell.
Why buy new when you can get a great original piece which will never loose value or style?
