Here we have one of the "Most" Important Satsuma pieces to come to ebay ever. This Satsuma Japanese Vase is completely hand painted by the master "Yabu Meizan" and is a extremely important example of his work. This onion formed vase features double lake Biwa & Thousand flowers design, along with fantastic landscapes & homes. Also very important is that this piece is hand reticulated at the neck. One rarely if ever see's this on Yabu Meizan pieces. A large piece as well with fantastic gold and paint work done with the greatest detail imaginable. I don't need to write a history or Meizan as most of you know he was the Greatest Satsuma there was. This example is considered by many who have seen it to be one of the finest pieces made. No gold, or paint loss of anykind. A stunning example in mint condition. One can see the sailors on the lake, as well as homes along it and on the other side, an incredible array of flowers and mountains in the background. The open space in between in filled with thousands of perfectly places gold dots, and as we move up the neck of the vase we have the thousands flowers design leading way to an incredible hand reticulated area with incredible details. Nothing is missing. You could take a week to see everything this important Musuem example entails. It has been appraised well over $20.000.00 and I am sure you all will agree is one of the finest examples known. Standing almost 8" tall @ 7 3/4" x 5" in diameter. An Extremely important piece signed by Yabu Meizan on the bottom. I can send you as many photos as you would like for this piece and will answer any questions you have. We do not charge a handling fee with shipping. We are now listing shipping price, but please take into consideration these prices are "Without" insurance and we ask that you "WAIT" to pay for won items after the auction so we may add the necessary Insurance (required) into the invoice. Again! Do not pay for the item until we send you an invoice through ebay. These prices are also for East coast costs and West of the Rockies will require an additional charge. It's not us as the USPS has raised their rates 1/3. We ship Priority and pack very, very well. Insurance is included in all shipping prices. Our prices are very good. I know you will be happy.
