The eyepiece Lens cover appears to be of Turned wood Walnut or similar wood and at this end of the Scope is the following wording '' NEW PATENT JEWEL KALEIDOSCOPE LONDON STEREOSCOPIC COMPANY ''
Of faux leather covered tube with brass cased viewer with opaque glass filter and six baluster turned spokes on gilt finish fluted upright with spreading leafy foot .. measures 42 cm high !
The Brass turning mechanism is similar to that of a Ships Wheel.
I apologise for my poor photos of the interior .. much better in real life !
I have not attempted any cleaning or polishing what so ever for fear of ruining its originality.
The actual Tube Length is 13 ins long !
A truly fabulous Collectors work of art and very much a talking point and endless viewing of its constant changing images and colours !

Due to its rarity I have had to place a sensible Reserve Price but I am positive this early piece has a much higher value !
