You have found a very rare Maroon color Bauer (held in the light just so, you can see USA with a 5 letter word under it, looks like Bauer) 1/2 Gallon pitcher. Nearly perfect, no cracks, no chips ! About 8 1/2 inches tall just beautiful !!! I will buy Insurance for us ! This is very heavy, solid hard pottery, gotta be Bauer, but I can't entirely read it.
