Up for auction is this magnificent Maori flute that measures 19 1/2" in height. Complete with a museum mount this rare item has a dark chocolate fudge patina and retains it's original flax binding. A piece with a demanding presence and stature it is a very rare Maori artifact that we date to the 19th century. From a private collection in London it retains its original paua shell eyes. A true museum piece, like all of our items it is being listed without any reserve so good luck and be sure to check out our other auctions including the very important Easter Island "Ua" that was sold by Sotheby's in New York in the early 1980's. Very careful packing and shipping with delivery confirmation by priority mail will be $10.00 in the U.S. International shipping will depend on destination.
