ITEM DESCRIPTION
c1930 ART DECO Silver Plated 3 Piece TEA or COFFEE SET

Please note that we have been assembling a large number of silver and silverplated pieces to list for the upcoming holiday season.  They date from 19th century through the 1950s and range in style and function.  If this item you are looking at now doesn't meet your needs, please keep checking back with us as we will be listing dozens of sterling and silver plated pieces over the next few weeks. All of these terrific pieces will be BARGAIN PRICED and we will offer FREE SHIPPING (within the U.S.; please email for rates outside the U.S.) on most of these items.

This is a very attractive silver plated tea or coffee set.  This is a period art deco set that dates to the 1930s.  It consists of a tea or coffee pot, a creamer and a sugar bowl.  All have clean art deco lines and a strong silhouette.  They are each monogrammed in a very geometric deco monogram (it's quite stylized and hard to read with initials within a diamond shape - we think it says JBL or JSL).  This is a small set -- the teapot holds two cups ... so it's just the thing for an intimate tea or coffee get together ... or a lovely thing to use when it's tea for one (why not treat yourself?!).

This set is marked on the base with a very tiny maker's mark - we've photographed it in extreme close up (the actual mark is less than 1/8") and we think this is a "JSQ" which may be the abbreviation for "Jewelers special quality" which was a mark used for a limited time by the well known William Rogers silver company.  If you're more familiar with this mark, we'd welcome your emails.

This attractive small art deco tea or coffee set would make a terrific addition to your holiday entertaining.  It would also make a fine gift.

Age (ca.) c1930
Dimensions The teapot measures 6" handle to spout X 3 X 5".  The creamer measures 4" handle to spout X 2" X 2-1/2" and the sugar bowl measures 4" handle to handle X 2-1/2" X 1-1/2".
Condition Good condition with no loss of silvering, no dents, no problems.   There's a bit of tarnish -- we've left it in as found condition and merely given it a light buffing.  There is some darkening around the creamer's spout.  We're unsure if this is solder or tarnish but it's tiny and doesn't interfere (click to enlarge the photos) and we mention it for full disclosure.
SHIPPING SHIPPING ON THIS ITEM IS FREE within the Continental U.S. (please email for international rates).
NOTE:  For the holiday season we are making every effort to offer either REDUCED OR FREE SHIPPING on most of our auction listings.  Please see our other listings for more bargains!

WINNING BIDDERS PLEASE NOTE Back to Top
You will receive more than one email both from eBay and from Lennon Hall Antiques. The most important email will be your eBay invoice and you can click through on that to pay for your item. We reserve the right to void the auction if we don't receive payment in 10 days.

SHIPPING DETAILS Back to Top
Once you pay for your item it will be packed for shipping. The method of shipping depends on the size of your purchase. Most things are crated or boxed by our PROFESSIONAL SHIPPER. As a rule, you will receive an email from us or from iship.com with a tracking number. Small items are sent via USPS Priority Mail and should arrive in a few days. Medium size pieces (small pieces of furniture, etc.) are shipped by UPS; these items are generally custom boxed and typically arrive within a few days to a week. Large pieces of furniture are custom crated and shipped by our trucker, Arrow Express. Once the trucker picks up your item from us, it normally takes two to three weeks to arrive. However, many things can impact the time of a truck shipment so it can take as long as eight weeks, depending on your location.

About Shipping Costs: We are working very hard to keep shipping costs down but both USPS and UPS have raised their rates and the price of gas has skyrocketed, so truckers are all charging surcharges. We do not use Greyhound or any of the cut-rate shippers. We always combine shipping to discount multiple item purchases.

About LOCAL (NY tri-state area) shipments:  We always welcome pick ups and never charge for this service. Also, we have a local delivery service that can deliver up to five items for the same price, anywhere within the NY tri-state area.  If you are local, please ask for a price quote for this very affordable service.

INSURANCE Back to Top
We always include insurance in your shipping price. Antiques and vintage items are vulnerable to any aggressive handling so it's important they always be insured when shipping.  We value our products and are as upset as you are if anything gets damaged! In the unlikely event that your item does get damaged in shipment, it is always fully insured and we will work with you every step of the way to recover this insurance. Please let us know immediately if an item is damaged in shipment and please make sure to retain all your packing material.

INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS Back to Top
We ship worldwide. If you are an international bidder and do not see the shipping calculator in the auction, please email for rates outside the U.S. Please note that international shipments can easily get lost or stolen so insurance is a MUST for international shipments. Further, in the event of a lost, stolen or damaged item, recovery of postal insurance can take up to one year. We cannot refund the cost of this item until we recover the cost from the carrier. Customs clearance charges are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Canadian bidders: We welcome your business! We will make every effort to work with you to keep freight and customs costs down.
