Charming old Oribe chawan, tea bowl, with under-glaze decoration of horses - one side with a single horse and the other side showing two. Well-potted with carved sides and showing good glaze technique. I cannot find any marks or seals to indicate maker, but I estimate age to be early- to mid-20th century. Excellent condition with crazing inside and out and no chips, cracks, damage or repairs.
Diameter = 4.5" (11.5 cm.) Height = 3" (8cm.)
