Oak Victor Victrola VV-IV Phonograph Record Player. What's especially appealing about this piece is that we believe it to be in its original condition. To our knowledge, it has not been refinished. The turntable seems to be working fine but some adjustment apparently is needed with the arm as the speed of the music slows down when the needle makes contact with the record. The case is made of all 1/4 sawn oak and measures 13" wide not counting the crank by 14 1/2" in depth by 11 1/2" in height overall. There is a small dent on the arm. Also, please note that a knob is missing on one of the doors. However, it is a common one, we believe, and either a replacement one could be purchased, or both of the knobs could be changed. The turn table measures 10" in diameter. The black paint on the cast iron back bracket appears to be original and does have some minor paint dings. The nickel plating on the tone arm and crank is original and in good condition with some discoloration on the crank. These machines were manufactured in the United States by Victor at their Camden, New Jersey factory from September 1, 1911 through September 1917. When we ship the phonograph we will remove the four screws that hold the back bracket and tone arm on and wrap them seperately. This should help in making the delivery more reliable. It should only take a few minutes to reassemble, and quite easily. We are selling this wonderful piece with no reserve. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING SHIPPING COST: Please do not request any shipping estimates during the auction as none will be provided.
