Large Indonesian Chinese Lidded Basket Elm Bamboo Rice

This is a very large Chinese or Indonesian Lidded Woven Basket. It's shape is circular with a lid woven to a point. It measures an impressive 14" wide, the base is 6 1/8" tall and the top is approx. 8 1/2" tall for a total height over 14". I believe the wood which makes up the framing and the base is elm wood and the woven portions may be bamboo. Unsure of exact age. The weaving is in very good condition, with the exception of the very top where the exterior finish is lacking the sheen of the rest of the basket. This basket would make an excellent storage basket for yarn or sewing supplies.
