Howdy All Ya’ll
Am I excited? YES!!!! . I have collected anything and everything for years. When I see something I love I think “ OH MY…this is the most beautiful and interesting and fun thing I have ever seen in my life..its probably the ONLY one in the world. I HAVE to have it NOW.” That philosophy has given me a garage, storage unit and a house full of fabulous “must have” treasures.
I have traveled alone with total freedom, with fabulous girlfriends, a sister waiting in the car reading a book and a husband 2 aisles behind me ..oops..a WONDERFUL husband 2 aisles behind me.When I return home the car is always busting at the seams. Quoting my husband John. ”Honey, I know when you’ve been on a major shopping spree because the car is ‘backed-up’ to the front door”. Another quote from my adoring husband “When I come home from work I have to turn the light on because I never know what is stacked in the entryway” That is funny but not too funny to him…although he is also a collector and can’t say too much.
This week I have had an epiphany. Its called “SELL AND SHARE”...OKLA-FE STYLE. It is time I let my worldly and small town treasures go. My good friend Rebecca is helping me set up my shop. She is the queen of ebay.and sells on eBay as “Beccaben.” I have linked her shop to mine so you can see what she has accomplished in her life.. from films in Hollywood to ebay. She has written a book titled just that THE ADVENTURES OF THE MERMAID QUEEN: From Hollywood to eBay. She is one smart cookie. She is always hoppin’ and a boppin’and movin’ and a shakin’. It was my lucky day when I met Rebecca.
One more thing I wanted ya’ll to know. Another OKLA-FE symptom is how the high altitude changes one's personality. Sometimes I am not me and John is not John. Our alter-ego steps in and tries to be the center of attention and it actually works.. too many times. Six years ago John and I created two very silly characters named Earl and Earlene. They are so ridiculous and embarrass us all the time. But what’s most important they bring a lot of laughs. They OF COURSE want to meet ya’ll…so be patient with them. They don’t have any idea what’s appropriate and what’s not appropriate. They do mean well though and have become quite well known in our charming town of Santa fe, NM. They really aren’t as famous as they think but we will let them make believe. They have made greeting cards which are sold in the Santa Fe area and now will be available on my ebay site for the first time. So…when you see nutty characters throughout my ebay store you will of course know that’s Earl and Earlene. .Just act like you like them and think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Earlene is sometimes a sandwich short of a picnic and Earl thinks he is the pillar of the community. They are looking for new friends. That’s up to you.
I hope you have a great time in my new store. I will have a lot of interesting, fun and ‘over-the top’ items. Hang in there with me. It will take a little time to get the hang of this. But I am excited and we all know what happens when a woman is excited….

VINTAGE CHENILLE BEDSPREAD
Hi Y'all.... This is such a neat, fun and beautiful chenille bedspread. I purchased it many years ago in our best vintage store in Santa fe. I was told the previous owner was a woman that purchased items for the movie industry. She hung on to many of her favorite items until she retired. I was fortunate to see this on a bed in the store. They displayed it with big white vintage shams and Ralph Lauren pillows. It definitely caught my eye. As you see it has a train on the track with smoke coming out of the engine, a person, train station with trees and even a light along the tracks. It is such a unique spread. I love chenille and always watch for it on my treasure hunts...which is everyday!!! This bedspread is in very good condition. There are no holes that I can see...I photographed a few small places for you. The scenes have some chenille missing but it definitely does not affect the beauty and fun of the spread. They are barely noticeable. The approx. measurements are 68" wide and 96" long. I have photographed it on a queen size bed. I have had it on the end of the guest bed which looks great with my Santa fe style home...It would also be so much fun for a childs room or with a cabin setting. Thank you for shopping in my store. I will be listing alot more neat items today and tomorrow. I usually have alot in my store. I took a week off for relaxation which didn't last long...I kept thinking about the treasures I was missing out there.. I am now energized and back to listing.
