Original Antique Engraved Map
Map Title: Special Charte von Nieder Aegypten.
Printed: Weimar, 1803
A most dramatic depiction and detailed mapping of Egypt's Nile Delta, engraved by Nicolas Auguste Nouet. Very Good condition, and retaining a strong impression. Suitable for framing. Sheet measures approximately 14 inches x 12 inches (29.5 cm x 35 cm). Text is in German.
This is an original map from a multi-volume scientific journal titled "Allgemeine Geographische Ephemeriden", which issued fifty volumes from 1798-1816 and which encompassed critical contemporary topics of geography and astronomy.
