Antique English Oak Barley Twist Sofa Dining Table
UNIQUE HIDDEN Butterfly LEAF, DARK Finish, SOLID OAK!!
Direct from England, this listing is for a beautiful antique English oak dining or sofa table…….without a doubt, one of the most unusual you will find, with it’s fabulous “butterfly” or hidden leaf that emerges from the center when opened!!!
These tables are quite difficult to find, especially in good operating condition and this one needs no apologies!!
Made of solid oak, with large barley twist legs and a beveled X-cross stretcher, the table is elongated, with double beveled edges, gently curved on the sides. There is a small ring underneath that you pull to release the latched top and pull it apart, then folding up and out the extra center leaf…pulling the ring again locks the leaf in place, providing a tight paneled table top, large enough for serving a family or accommodating significant paperwork, craft or game space!!!
MEASUREMENTS:
30”H x 23 ½” x 52 ½”;
With leaf opened, table top is 52 ½” x 36 ¾”.
