LARGE Carved English Oak Wall Shelf Coat Plate Rack (E)

Direct from England, this listing is for another wonderful antique English carved oak hanging wall shelf. I have a source in the UK that specializes in these shelves and searches throughout England and Belgium, sometimes France, to find them!!
This shelf is a very large size, almost four feet long, with a beautiful lighter finish and natural oak grain that is fabulously accented by the SEVEN brass metal cherub or angel hooks.
This particular shelf has a French look to it, with a large carved center panel and sides. It also features a scalloped, beveled lower edge and shelf top, as well as grooved and graceful corbels.
The shelf has a large plate rack groove and attaches to the wall via two insets on the back
The measurements are 45” x 11” x 7 ½”.

They are extremely versatile and suitable for almost every room; although originally used as a “kitchen shelf” for hanging (copper) pots and pans, they are also great for collections of any kind or as an accent piece in an office.
The shelf is in good condition for its age, well made of oak and oak veneers, with normal signs of age and use, dings and scratches.
