The chairs are completely adorned with barley twist, from the chair arms, to the chair legs and the stretcher bars, everything is barley twist, even the stiles on the back and sides!!
The rush seats are the original, providing the classic look suitable for any décor and sought after by so many for accent pieces that make a statement!!!
With this pair, a “corner” isn’t necessary……you can actually use them on either side of a focal point in the foyer or perhaps flanking a larger piece or on either side of a fireplace.
Measurements, each chair:
29 ½”H x 17” x 17”;
Floor to top of seat, 18”.
All of my antiques are hand selected from European container shipments. I do not purchase in bulk, but prefer to individually purchase the items, with each piece selected for its unique characteristics and quality.
Condition:
The chairs are in good condition, structurally sound and visually appealing, with normal signs of age and use, scratches, dings, and other imperfections. The wood has a light finish, which would be greatly enhanced by a loving hand wax, for those that prefer that look!! The rush seats have only normal signs of wear, with some, but not excessive, fraying, and are suitable for many more years of use!!
