Gold LEATHER & French WALNUT finishd SIDE CHAIRS w/ BRASS, HICKORY CHAIR COMPANY

This very nice set of french-styled side chairs were made by Hickory Chairs Company, Hickory, N.C. around 1966-67 as item #909. They are very high end furniture and were sold in Corpus Christi, TX. at Braslau's Parkdale Plaza Furniture store. The cloth bottoms of each chair has this information on the original paper shipping tags.

They are gold coloured full-thickness leather on french walnut-stained wood. Each chair has a hundred or so decorative brass tacks and each chair has a brass finial. As can be seen it the photographs, each chair has hand carving around the back's crown. The leather is in excellent condition and the wood is almost without any minor blemishes. 

These chairs are 36 inches tall, 18 inches deep and 17 1/2 inches wide. The seat height is 18 1/2 inches from the floor to seat. Each chair weighs 10 3/4ths pounds.
