Up for auction is one of the most monumental rustic items in existence! This is a circa 1890 moose antler chair probably created for the ruler of a Moose, Odd Fellows, or other secret sect lodge. Attached to one side is a brass ring with its original Victoria tassel. The chair came from Michigan and sports a superb and thick piece of birds eye maple. The chair is huge and comfortable! The back pink velvet is newer but in no doubt was similar to the original, as pink velvet was a popular chair material in the 1890s. The chair weighs approx. 90 pounds, but if turned sideways, will go thru a standard home door opening. This can serve as a signature piece in your private or museum rustic collection, or a killer conversation piece in your home or lodge! Something like this will probably never be offered again in a private auction. This is a no reserve auction, but I will end the auction early with a bid of $15,900. It is one of several dozen, museum quality rustic furniture specimen pieces that I have decided to put up for sale, which is my entire collection. Many of these pieces are some of the most dramatic rustic items in existence!!! There are root and antler and twig, and black forest, and Adirondack chairs, tables, side items, etc, along with some AMAZING Indian artwork! All are from the 1870-1930 period. You can see photos of this chair and all of my rustic items for sale, along with their size measurements and price, at the following link: http://picasaweb.google.com/gnalbright/RusticFurniture  I have an antique dealer friend with a truck who can for a reasonable fee deliver any of the pieces at any exit off Interstate 95, from Ocala, Florida, to Boston. These items will go with any old, antique, vintage, Molesworth , tobacco, Western, Taos, horn, moose, deer, elk, buffalo, decor. This unique piece is being advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to end this auction early. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Good Luck. Enjoy the photos!
