This Large Victorian aesthetic 16 " long x 12 " wide " platter is transfer printed in dark brown.
The clear and crisp GEM pattern features a plethora of exotic wildflowers and geometric designs with a focal point being a raspberry bramble in flower and fruit. The pattern displays the victorian eras love of nature.
The piece is marked on the underside with an impressed registration mark, the pattern name and trademark that identifies the maker as Brownfield, a pottery maker working in Cobridge in the Staffordshire region of England during the 19th century.
The piece is in good condition, shiny and bright. No chips, no cracks and no repairs. There is a tight darkened hairline off the rim.
