28" wide by 18" high antique solid Copper Boiler Wash Tub with Wooden Handles
This was used in the 1800's and early 1900's for washing. Water was boiled in them over a fire. This one is in excellent condition. Top has a small shallow dent near handle that is not real obvious and all the handles are in mint condition - original wood. These are used for holding blankets or throws or can be used in bathrooms or just for display or even for a planter. They are very collectible and very hard to find in this good shape. It has a great pateen on the copper. It has not been polished but it can be.
I ship to continental US only, do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or internationally.
On Dec-01-08 at 00:04:01 PST, seller added the following information:The picture of the end of the tub shows the tub still wet . It wasn't completely dry after I had wiped it off. So that is water you see in the picture, not any discoloration on the end of the tub under the handle.
We rubbed a small spot on the inside of the cover with copper cleaner to see what it would look like and it was a beautiful bright copper color. We did not clean the outside as some do not want it cleaned. I did not sweep out of the inside which has a little dust and grime from age. The bottom is in excellent condition also, no dents or cuts.
