This piece came from a sale today and I am so curious as to the origin and the use. I believe this to be a samovar. I know they were popular in Russia , but the design does not look like a Russian samovar ~~~ it looks more Persian to me. This piece appears to be very old and some of the old paint is coming off, but I think it is too cool. It measures 8 1/2" tall and it is a wonderful decorator piece. It anyone can clue me in as to the country of origin, the age, and the use I would be most appreciative. Sold as is with no reserve............I'll bet you wont find another quite like it.
Be sure to ask all questions before bidding. As always, my items are listed as is and as found. They come from estate sales, garage sales, flea markets, or from my family's attic. Items range from the fun and funky collectibles to the rare and hard to find antiques.
Most of the time, I start my bidding at just $9.99 (or less) with no reserve. Sometimes I can combine shipping fees.
I ship FEDEX ground to continental United States street addresses only. I accept checks (must clear prior to shipping) and money orders. I ship items on Fridays ~~ they go out 5 day ground and are fully insured.
Add $9.50 fixed shipping and insurance.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!
