Slurry-Trough-Classifier.  This is a Highbanker tuned for excellent fine gold recovery. 

Here's why you need one:

• The key to fine gold recovery is proper classification (separation and removal of coarse material from the fines containing gold grains or dust).
• The closer the particles of material can be matched to the size of the gold, the easier it is for the gold to separate and settle.
• When only small particles of material pass into the sluice, less water force is required to keep the particles flowing properly.
• Less water force = greater fine gold recovery.
• NO Pre-classification required!

How it works:

• Dual inlet pipes supply water to the top of the highbanker via a single shared baffle with enough force that the streams combine into a single smooth sheet of water.
• The sheet of water flows over the acceleration/feed plate where gold bearing material is fed.
• Stratification occurs immediately with loose material (clay or muddy material may require additional attention). 
• The newly formed slurry then flows over 3/16" punch plate where classification occurs.
• The slurry consisting of minus 3/16" material drops through the punch plate and into the trough; plus sizes are swept out the end as waste.
• The trough then drops the slurry in the top of the header box where direction of flow is reversed and acceleration begins for the final leg of the journey through the sluice box for recovery.

• One "Smooth Operator" Header Box that fits a standard 10" sluice box (i.e Jobe, or Keene).
• One 4 foot long hose assembly with a 1" valve to 1" Male pipe thread end.
• Some assembly required to save on shipping charges (two pieces, 10 minutes, very easy).
• NO PUMP
• NO SLUICE BOX

• You are bidding on a brand new unit same as the one pictured.
• The header box in the action shots is not plumbed; you will receive a fully plumbed unit as pictured in the grass.
• You will receive exactly what is pictured in the grass (1 Highbanker, 1 Header Box, and 1 hose assembly)
• The Header Box is NOT pre-drilled to mount on the sluice; you will have to drill 1/4" mounting holes in the header box (similar to those on the removable stream flare for your sluice). 
• Buyer will be responsible for mis-drilled holes.  Please make sure that you are up to the task of drilling holes.
• Punch plate is cold rolled steel and will develop surface rust with normal use.
