THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION !!! You are bidding on a Antique Oil Painting in Floral Carved Frame. This piece is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and we believe this dates back to the 19th Century and is an original painting that is signed by who we believe is a VERY WELL listed American artist Walter A. Clark and this came from a New York home, or its possibly European School or whether is Waler Appleton Clark or Walter Leighton Clark we are not sure and we are not art experts and took a close up of the signature as referenced in the photos to make your own determination. We know its an original antique oil painting signed Clark. This piece depicts a beautiful House & Lake landscape of a Genre Scene with small figures in the painting and horse and carriage with a family near their home of daily activity in a beautiful Countryside which is very relaxing to the eye with beautiful Mountain Landscape on the Horizon and a small creek with water appearing to run downstream and a small little bridge. It set with a beautiful Homestead with an old road and a figure of w oman walking at the top of the hill. The beauty of art is that there are many different ways or looking at this piece and is all in the eye of the beholder. This painting was done with great detail in both color and clarity from the distinctive characteristics of the house or cottage with the beautiful landscape and floral foliage and flowers and trees that are in the surrounds of the painting. The painting was very well done with beautiful brush strokes and nice hsades of tonalism from the beautiful foliage and reflection off the waters. The artist was a TRUE MASTER, because we see great care and SKILL in the painting down to its finest details. With paintings of this caliber you can see the amount of care and attention the artist put into the piece and accomplished quite a bit here. This came from a private estate on Long Island with naturally aged patina to the back stretcher. Please understand this is an antique and has some craquelure throughout with some minor imperfections due it its age that may need some professional touch up . The actual frame is beautifully carved with floral detail carved detail and gilt trim and also has some wear and imperfections consistent with its age. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses ANYTHING that is made today but Please understand that this is an antique and has some minor imperfections on it with its age as stated and shown in the pictures but overall its in excellent shape. Using your own shipper:
You
may use your own shipper, however please note that
Antique Furniture Depot does not provide any packing
services, and will not crate, wrap or pad your
item, and a $25 handling fee will
apply.
Local
Pick UP:
Item(s) must be picked up
within 30 days of auction ending, a
$25 handling fee will apply, as well as NY
State Sales Tax. Our warehouse hours are M-F 10am-6pm and we normally
open one Saturday per month,
please give us 72 hours advance notice prior to
desired pick up date. Any items left after
30 days will be assessed $25 per week,
per auction for storage. For all pick ups
please bring your own blankets, pads and any other
material you may need to secure your item(s). Any items
left over 120 days, if there are no prior
arrangements made, then the sale will be forefeited and no refunds will be
issued.

does not cover any scratches, dings, or minor
scuffs and is only for total damage or
